- The Instructional Support Team
(I.S.T.) at Unionville Elementary School is available to
parents, teachers and students. The I.S.T. team members
include: the principal, school counselor, school
psychologist, instructional support teacher, classroom
teacher and parents. In addition, other school personnel
may be included, if needed. The I.S.T. process is
composed of assessment and intervention procedures that
are used to ensure that students receive an effective
instructional program that meets their learning needs.
The IST meets on a regular basis to assist the classroom
teachers in planning and implementing strategies that are
designed to produce success for the students. Students
may be referred for academic, behavior, emotional, or
social concerns. In addition, the instructional support
teacher is available to provide in-class support, guided
practice and reinforcement activities, individual student
assessments, and class lessons. Please feel free to call
