Wrapping
Paper Sale: UEPTO's
primary fall fundraiser, quality holiday gift-wraps and
specialty items are offered for sale to the parents,
relatives, and friends of the Unionville Elementary
students. The two-week campaign begins early in the
school year with delivery from the supplier around
Thanksgiving.
Market
Day: This
new, year-round fundraiser offers gourmet and popular
meal selections to anyone in the Unionville community.
Orders are placed monthly via forms sent home with
students and returned to their teacher; growing in
popularity is the ability to place your monthly order
through an Internet connection. Pick-ups are made at the
U.E. cafeteria.
Box
Tops for Education: Another
year-round fundriser popular with the children is the
collection of the special "Box Tops for Education" logos
from General Mills cereals and other selected
commodities. UEPTO receives $.15 for each cereal box top
logo and $.10 for the logos from selected other
products.
Book
Fairs: UEPTO
coordinates two book sale efforts to enhance family and
classroom libraries. A fall Book Fair is conducted
coincidental with our annual Elves' Workshop in early
December. This one-day event offers books at cost and
convenient for holiday gift giving. A three-day Book Fair
in March offers a wide selection of current and popular
reading to students and their parents; teachers also may
make "at cost" purchases to add selections to their
classrooms libraries.
Sportswear:
A
sale of Unionville logo sportswear is conducted yearly.
This is a good opportunity to display your Unionville
spirit and to stock up on good quality t-shirts, sweat
shirts, athletic shorts, hats and a variety of other
useful items.
Calico
Cupboard: During
the annual, 80-year-old, Unionville Community Fair, UEPTO
sponsors a traditional booth offering homemade crafts and
baked goods to the moms and dads, and candies and small
toys for the kids. The Calico Cupboard is one of the many
"don't miss" attractions of this local
event.
Basket
Bingo: Our
Spring Fund Raiser is an enjoyable night of Basket Bingo.
Participants play bingo in hopes of winning one of many
Longaberger baskets. The baskets are filled with
wonderful goods and services that have been donated by
local merchants and parents. This new fun-filled
fundraiser has become a significant source of income for
our school.
