ASSEMBLIES:
The UEPTO coordinates and funds many school assemblies
for the children. Presentations to the children have
included a musical show by Two of a Kind about caring for
our earth, mathemagic, science adventure presentations,
and puppet shows.
AM
LANGUAGE CLASSES:
The UEPTO coordinates a foreign language program where
Spanish I, II and III and French I, II and III classes
are offered to second through fifth grade students. This
popular 25 week before school program offers the children
a wonderful introduction to foreign
language.
Hands
on Science:
The UEPTO sponsors an after school science class for
students in kindergarten to fifth grade. Each eight week
session, gives students an opportunity to explore and
experiment with varying "hands on"
topics.
ART
IN ACTION:
The UEPTO coordinates volunteer support for the art
appreciation program throughout the school. In
cooperation the the art teacher, volunteers present
various art works to the children and provide information
to them about the artists and the different art
styles.
BIRTHDAY
BOOK:
This program runs throughout the school year and offers
the children the opportunity to purchase a book and
donate it to their classroom library. The books are
usually donated to honor the child's birthday or half
birthday, and a dedication label with their name on it is
placed inside the book's front cover.
DONUTS
WITH DAD:
Every child at UE is invited to bring their Dad or
someone special to this popular before school event for a
delicious breakfast of donuts. The UEPTO sponsors this
annual get-together which is traditionally held in the
fall.
ELVES
WORK SHOP:
A popular UEPTO event held each December where the
children attend a craft workshop and prepare holiday
gifts for family and friends. All supplies are provided
with each pre-purchased kit, and parent volunteers are
available at each craft station to offer a helping hand
if needed.
FAMILY
FUN NIGHT:
This annual event takes place at the school and is
usually held in February. An evening full of games, art,
dancing, prizes and food always makes the UEPTO event a
family favorite.
FIELD
DAY:
The UEPTO offers volunteer support and refreshments for
this wonderful day of fun for the children. Held in June,
there are always many game stations for the children to
participate in and lots of smiles to go around
too.
3RD
GRADE READ-A-THON:
This annual event offers all third graders the
opportunity to come to school for a fun evening that
celebrates reading. The highlight of this event is the
sleep over. Parent chaperones attend to oversee games,
snacks, reading and stay the night. The wonderful event
ends after breakfast in the morning.
5TH
GRADE TEE-SHIRTS:
The UEPTO provides T-shirts for the entire fifth grade
class. Each fifth grade student receives a specially
designed and dated T-shirt as a wonderful momento of his
or her years at UE.
